The first time I heard ‘Simple Man’ was in the car driving and I cried uncontrollably through the whole song. It felt like someone finally found words for my son that my heart could never speak. This is all I want for my boy…just to be a simple man. The lyrics in this song are powerful. Lynyrd Skynyrd’s music is brilliant. Period.
